I was sceptical until I played it, but the minigame actually stitches together a variety of arm sways, swings, thrusts and dips into a strangely addictive and hypnotic display of continuous motor function. Sure, I know what you're thinking – it's played out, been done, couldn't be that fun – you're wrong, friendo. Performed to the tune of the slightly risqué 'Jungle Boogie' and without the use of the Wii Fit board this time, the objective of the dance off is to perfect your movements and poses in time to the rhythm of the music. A quick stat-screen later and you're free to move onto the next minigame on display – a morning TV dance-off. Make it to the end of the downward slalom course, SSX-style, and you'll be hurtled into the side of a ski-lodge, signalling the finish of your run. For the record, Ubisoft, watching a creepy white rabbit pucker up and kiss a giant, hairy cow is deeply …unsettling. Fail, and your poor wildebeest will face-plant it, legs askew. The more you complete, the weirder the moves and the more likely you are to land safely. To successfully land and gain a speed boost, you must move the Wii remote and nunchuk in the directions indicated on-screen as they pop up. This takes you onto a separate screen where the Rabbid and the 'Beest perform a delicate dance of love mid-air. To make things more interesting, you can take your shaggy bull off some sweet jumps. Once your Rabbid is pounding the slopes on his steer of choice, you have to weave between flag posts while avoiding trees and obstacles in your path. To make things more interesting, up to four players (presumably each supplying their own Wii Fit boards) can get in on the bum-racing shenanigans. Simply lean to the left and your wildebeest will careen to the left tip to the right and you'll slide that way. In terms of sensitivity, the pressure your butt cheeks apply to each side of the board feels quite analogue in practice. If you're some strange blight on the face of nature and you don't have a butt, however, there's probably nothing to stop you from standing on the Wii Fit board and steering that way too. In 'Beestie Boarding', as outlined above, the steering is completely handled by your bumcheeks. The second, a four-player dance off, compelled players to 'get down, get down with the boogie' to the rhythms of 'Jungle Boogie' – and we'll delve into the finer points of remote waggling a little further below. Of the two games shown out of a promised 65 or more in the final game, wildebeest racing was arguably the more unique offering. At this year's Ubidays 2008 in Paris, France, we were invited to put inhibitions aside and take to the slopes for some Wildebeest Xtreme skiing.
